Our fresh Croissant Dough is a fine layered yeast dough with only a subtle sweet taste. It combines the best properties of yeast dough and puff pastry dough, making fine baked goods both buttery and fluffy, and soft and crisp at the same time. Similar to puff pastry, thin layers of fat are incorporated into the pastry, creating a layered texture. It is not as flaky as puff pastry, but has a nice rather compact consistency on the inside.
We offer our Croissant Dough in a standard (margarine) and premium (butter version). It comes pre-cut in the form of triangles and conveniently rolled on baking paper to easily form six croissants. In addition, it is available in a halal version.
Croissants have been popular since the Renaissance, and are a staple in Austrian and French bakeries. They are delicious and can be created in so many ways that they have become a favorite of people all over the world.
Our Croissant dough is less sweet than Danish pastry, and therefore, can be used for sweet and savory recipes.
