Short Crust Dough
Our fresh Short Crust Dough is based on the universal and widely known formula of “one part fat, two parts flour.” Fat (margarine or butter) and flour is worked together to create a loose mixture that is then bound using a small amount of water. The secret is not overworking the dough to keep it soft and nicely short, but not tough and sticky – just like our fresh Short Crust Dough.
Our Short Crust Dough forms a soft, crumbly texture when baked. It does not puff up during baking because it does not contain any leavening agent.
We offer our Short Crust Dough in a round and square format to fit every type of cuisine around the world. There is no need for a rolling pin. The dough sheet comes rolled on baking paper in perfect even dough thickness.
