Let's Walz

Our apprentices are top notch!

By participating in the „Let’s Walz“ initiative, two of our apprentices in the field of mechatronics have the unique opportunity to complete an internship abroad in Northern Ireland this summer.

Next to improving their language skills, our apprentices can also gain significant professional experience and technical knowledge. In addition to the pride of seeing our young apprentices working for a partner company abroad, the new perspectives that our two apprentices will bring with them after the internship will also be beneficial for the future of Wewalka as a training company.

The four-week stay abroad under the name „Let’s Walz“ is financed and organised by the WKNÖ, the AK NÖ, the International Young Workers Exchange (IFA) as well as Erasmus+.

Applications | Coding

  • Reading and applying technical documents
  • Knowledge of the possibilities of data exchange, the formats and structures of exchange data as well as interface management
  • Knowledge of programming languages, their application possibilities and limits

  • Knowledge of the functioning, possibilities (e.g. hosting solutions), advantages and risks of cloud solutions as well as the requirements for their use
  • Programming/coding of simple applications or application styles, taking into account later changeability, expandability

  • Know how to develop applications
  • Participate in defining objectives and developing system requirements
  • Knowledge of identifying and analysing data and developing suitable data models as well as formulating test data
  • Participate in identifying and analysing data and developing tests

  • Implementing user interfaces for applications
  • Creating technical documentation and providing assistance to users
  • Carrying out projects (planning time and resources, issuing partial orders, presenting solutions)
  • Roll-out of applications

Office Clerk

  • Getting to know the basics of the organization, different tasks and responsibilities of the divisions
  • Administration and organization of appointments
  • Getting to know the internal quality management systems
  • Working with forms and in processes
  • Applications of internal IT systems (hardware, software)

  • Getting to know the internal filing systems
  • Basic knowledge in accounting
  • Basic knowledge in payment transactions between different stakeholders
  • Basic knowledge in bookkeeping and integration in minor tasks

  • Evaluation of relevant statistics and reports - managerial accounting
  • Integration in complaints‘ management
  • Being in charge of specific tasks in correspondence with internal and external partners

Mechatronics Engineering

  • Introduction into mechanical basics
  • Basics of shaping and joining technology (rasping, sawing, screwing etc.) 
  • Basiscs of electronic engineering
  • Understanding the effects of electricity (direct and alternating current)

  • Introduction through established professionals in maintenance
  • Basics of automations (SPS)
  • Mortising machine, welding, etc.
  • Independently taking care of small tasks
  • Helping hand in bigger projects

  • Trouble shooting at the production machines
  • Independently taking care of projects
  • Intensifying various categories within the field of mechatronics
  • Reinforcing automations knowledge in SPS

  • Mechanical caring of production machines
  • Independently working on projects
  • Preparations for the finals

Process Engineering

  • Introduction into mechanical basics
  • Basics of shaping and  joining technology (rasping, sawing, screwing etc.) 
  • Understanding electricity
  • Getting to know processes of production

  • Introduction through established professionals in production
  • Basics of automation (SPS)
  • Mortising machine, welding, etc.

  • Basic knowledge in the production processes
  • Independently taking care of small tasks
  • Intensifying various categories within the field of process engineering
  • Reading and understanding of production and maintenance plans

  • Caring of production machines
  • Independently working on projects
  • Preparations for the finals

You would like to start your career as an apprentice at Wewalka?

Here is everything you need to know regarding your application and what to expect:

  • successfully finished 9th grade or got higher education
  • German skills are above basic knowledge
  • are interested in working with established colleagues
  • are excited and curious about working at our production plants

After choosing a trainee-programm, please upload your CV and follow the online form. There you will be asked to upload your data and documents (letter of motivation, grades, certificates).
